As we are growing we are looking for people to join our highly skilled, motivated and compassionate Support Worker team.
Experience is not essential as full training will be provided but you will need a compassionate nature, be a car driver, be able to work evenings and weekends and be able to take personal responsibility

You First Will:
- Pay £12.35 - £13.45 an hour from the moment you start working with us, there is no probation rate
- Weekends are paid at £12.65 per hour
- We pay 35p per mile for every mile you travel, including commuting miles
- Sleep In duties are paid at £60.00 - £65.00
- Waking Night Duties are paid £112.00 - £119.25 per night
- Two days additional leave (pro rata) upon two years service
- We offer permanent, full time, part time and casual contracts and you can choose what works best for you and your needs
- You will have a permanent contract that provides you with guaranteed regular hours
- You will have a full induction before commencing work and this will include person specific training and shadow supports
- Each team has a Slack (virtual message board) page when you can obtain feedback and support from fellow team members and managers
- We operate a 24-hour On Call facility, so you always have access to support in emergency situations
- We do not use Zero Hour Contracts
- We provide an occupational pension
- We have an Employee Assistance Programme meaning you and your family have access to free and confidential 24-hour counselling and support
- We meet the cost of your DBS check
- You will receive full training and bi-monthly supervision
- If you are new to social care, you will be supported through your Care Certificate in paid time
- You will have the option to study for a nationally recognised Diploma
- You will have your birthday rostered as a day off
- You will have your roster 4 weeks in advance, allowing you to plan your life! Your roster will be in the form of an App

R is a 58 year old man who lives in his own home in Yeovil. R enjoys going out for coffee, getting a takeaway once a week, classical cars and motorbikes.
R is looking for an active support worker, who has their own car with business insurance. R needs a support worker with cooking skills, and R needs support to maintain his emotional and physical wellbeing and to navigate day to day life. R needs support staff that can help him feel safe and who can work with him in a therapeutic way that facilitates this. His support does not involve personal care.

B is looking to build a team of Support Workers around him who will ensure his needs are met and that he gets to build and grow his life in a way that is meaningful to him. B is looking to be supported by people who are active, fun and engaging. B thrives in an environment that is structured and has a consistent approach. B enjoys drives out in his mobility car to visit places of interest such as the zoo, farms, cafés, shopping trips, and swimming. Things that are important to B are his family, his iPad and to be given informed choice in what he does.
WHAT DOES A SUPPORT WORKER DO?
Support Workers support people with a learning disability and/or autism to build and grow their lives by achieving individual life goals and aspirations. You will enable people to lead a life in which they have a meaningful role within their local community and where they can begin to foster naturally occurring social networks of support thus reducing their dependency upon paid staff.
