Support Worker Positions £13.00 an hour!
Earn £13.00 an hour as a Support Worker with You First supporting “B” in Street, Somerset.
B is a 20 year old man with a diagnosis of learning disabilities and autism, who lives in Street in his own home. B is looking to build a team of Support Workers around him who will ensure his needs are met and that he gets to build and grow his life in a way that is meaningful to him. B is looking to be supported by people who are active, fun and engaging. B thrives in an environment that is structured and has a consistent approach. B enjoys drives out in his mobility car to visit places of interest such as the zoo, farms, cafés, shopping trips, and swimming. Things that are important to B are his family, his iPad and to be given informed choice in what he does.
YOU FIRST WILL:
- Pay £13.00 an hour from the moment you start supporting B, there is no probation rate
- We pay 30p per mile for every mile you travel, INCLUDING commuting miles
- Waking Night Duties for supporting B are paid £117.00 per night
- We offer permanent, full time, part time and casual contracts and you can choose what works best for you and your needs
- You will have a permanent contract that provides you with guaranteed regular hours
- You will have a full induction before commencing work and this will include person specific training and shadow supports
- Each team has a Slack (virtual message board) page when you can obtain feedback and support from fellow team members and managers
- We operate a 24-hour On Call facility, so you always have access to support in emergency situations
- We do not use Zero Hour Contracts
- We provide an occupational pension
- We have an Employee Assistance Programme meaning you and your family have access to free and confidential 24-hour counselling and support
- We meet the cost of your DBS check
- You will receive full training and bi-monthly supervision
- If you are new to social care, you will be supported through your Care Certificate in paid time
- You will have the option to study for a nationally recognised Diploma
- You will have your roster 4 weeks in advance, allowing you to plan your life! Your roster will be in the form of an App
- You will need to be a car driver and able to work some evenings and weekends and also sleep in on a roster basis.
