Business Support Team
The Business Support Team play a vital role in You First operations but the critical support they provide is often unseen - which is testimony to the skill with which they operate.
You First exists to provide community based support for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and this is provided through our dedicated and motivated Support Worker team who are ably supported by our Operational Team, however behind all this are a range of systems and processes that require support, management and regular review.
At the far right of the photo you can see Steph, who is You First's Office Manager. Steph heads up the You First office, ensuring that everyone has the materials they need to do their job through careful management of the office stock. Steph has a lead role with invoicing people for support delivered and also checks that all invoices issued have been settled.
In the middle of the photo is Maggie, with whom Andy (You First CEO) worked with for many years at Somerset County Council. Maggie had the role of Senior Finance Officer at SCC and now holds the position of Finance Manager with You First. Maggie has a lead role with staff payroll, manages the You First budget through setting and monitoring projections and supports the CEO in ensuring that the Social Enterprise remains financially robust.
At the far left of the photo is Jack whom You First have supported through his Level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Administration and Business Management. Jack has a lead role in collating and analysing data and presenting this to the CEO in a manner that can inform the making of strategic decisions.
So there is a lot going on behind the scenes to ensure that You First operates well and delivers quality outcomes for the people choosing to use the Social Enterprise. Whilst rarely seen, this team deliver important work.
